The Canadian Society of Customs Brokers has posted a notice stating CBSA has extended the ACI Commercial Information Compliance Evaluation Period until midnight December 31, 2017.  Under the extension CBSA will continue to allow Highway carriers who arrive at the border without their ACI declaration on file to to return to the United States to avoid ACI penalties .  The memo also highlighted carriers are liable to ensure all ACI information provided is true, accurate and complete including the cargo description.
